If Not Now, When? – For Israel!
Who am I?
What is important to me? The land of Israel is more than just a
place in our hearts. It is a real place that is at the heart of our
identity as a people.
The
Israel Committee of Temple B’nai Abraham continues to engage in
promoting:
• A
serious understanding and communication of the issues vital to
Israel’s survival and well-being.
• The fun
and inspiration of participating in the Israel experience.
Some of
our plans for the year include the following:
Movers
and Shakers:
Temple
B’nai Abraham is a leader in our community for bringing policy
makers, mavens and leaders in the Jewish community to discuss issues
that are of immediate vital interest to Israel. The Israel Committee
is actively engaged in a full range of Programs with MetroWest in
support of Israel including the Stop Iran Campaign and Interfaith
dialogue.
United We
Stand: Our members act as liaisons to the larger Jewish
Community supporting the continued existence of the State of Israel.
We also sponsor and lead our participation in the annual Salute to
Israel Parade, to be held on May 31, 2009.
Cultural
Experiences: Each year we sponsor some form of cultural
presentation of the Israel experience. This year we are planning to
hold an evening with Israeli style dinner and dancing.
Join Us:
If this is where your heart is and you are willing to contribute
your time, join us—Israel certainly needs your active support!

TBA MISSION TO
ISRAEL December 21-31, 2008
Join the Temple B'nai Abraham trip to
Israel this coming December.
The trip is designed for everybody:
adults traveling without kids, adults travelling with kids, and
grandparents are all welcome. The kids need to be at least seven but
every age above that, including college and beyond, will have a great
time. The trip will appeal both to first timers and to those who have
visited Israel before. We will do all the things one must do while in
Israel – visit the Western Wall, walk the beach in Tel Aviv, swim in the
Dead Sea, climb Masada, explore the Negev – as well as experience some
less traveled roads – an Air Force base, perhaps, a nature reserve, the
new and quite extraordinary Palmach museum, and maybe even rappelling
the Mitzpeh Ramon crater. In eleven days we won’t be able to get quite
everywhere…but we’ll sure try!
As with previous trips, ours will
officially be a mission of the Federation, so that through MetroWest
connections we will enjoy special opportunities as well as travel in
absolute and complete safety. We will meet and learn from key Israeli
leaders, and Rabbi Kulwin’s personal contacts will enable us to have
some unique experiences. Professional guides will accompany us the
entire time, as will youth counselors to arrange special activities for
the kids and keep them engaged and enthused.
view the trip brochure, includes pricing and timing details. If you
are interested and would like to have more information, please be in
direct touch with Rabbi Kulwin,
or with Neimah Tractenberg
at the Federation office. Space is limited!
Any visit to Israel is one of the greatest
experiences a Jew can know. To do so with our families, both personal
and extended TBA families, takes things to a whole new dimension. We
hope that you will join us!
